Top LW Cards

The LW position has a number of exciting cards in the upcoming Strat HK
2009-2010 set.

Alexander Ovechkin is the number one or two keeper card for the current era
depending on preference.   It's not quite as good as his 2007-2008 card but
it is the best card in this set.   The INT-12 is an added bonus and that
means Strat coaches can put Ovechkin on the ice against any line.
Dany Heatley has superior shooting columns and the card will inflict major
damage on the opposition in power play situations.  The PIS and PRB columns
will translate into a high number of goals.  Zach Parise has his fourth
straight season of 30+ goals and that translates into quality shooting
columns.  The DEF-5 makes him one of the better two-way players in the set.

Veteran Rick Nash has another 30-goal season and a solid shooting card.
Nash has one of the few 30+ PRB columns for the position so that and the
DEF-4 really help the value.   The Lee Stempniak card gets a big boost from
the short Phoenix stint.  Daniel Sedin had his best overall season despite
missing a month of the season.

Patrick Kane has great shooting columns in his third NHL season.  There is
noticeable improvement across the board with his card value and season
performance.   Alexandre Burrows has his best Strat card after 5 NHL
seasons.   The upcoming Burrows card has slightly better scoring columns
than the 2008-2009 card.

Jamie Neal has a good sophomore Strat card.  The INT-9 is an added bonus.
Alex Steen probably has a "career" card based on his 4 previous seasons.
The DEF-4 and the SK-12 should help him turn into a solid contributor on
most rosters in the larger leagues.

Veteran Bill Guerin has excellent PIS and PRB columns that can help any
draft league team in power play situations.   The INT-8 helps but the DEF-1
definitely limits some of his value in the positional rankings.  Tomas
Holmstrom has also had a long career with 13 seasons in the NHL.  This is
probably his number 3 or 4 Strat card.  The solid PIS and PRB should help
him contribute effectively in the larger leagues.

Ryan Malone has turned into a quality winger over his six NHL seasons and he
always seems to hover near the 25-goal mark.   The third Strat card for Sam
Gagne is a disappointment, well maybe not that big of one considering the
Oilers as a whole, but it'd be nice to see some real improvement out of him
next season.
