Top RD Cards

Mike Green is the top D card in the set. He's deadly on the shooting columns
with great D ability and the INT rating is enough to make a difference in a
sizeable number of situations. It's difficult not seeing a repeat
performance over the next few seasons as he represents one of the premier
talents in the game. Green has a killer card for PP situations and he's a
feared commodity in Strat draft league play.

The goal scoring is a little down for Shea Weber in this set but he
definitely looks like someone who can add 15 goals a season for the next
couple of years. He's had three good cards in his 5 seasons so he's
definitely someone with slightly better than average value for draft league
play. Plus, the DEF-5 and INT-10 make him into a good two-way player for
draft leagues. Zbynek Michalek doesn't put up big offensive numbers for the
Penguins but the PP columns are very good and he's a SD-4. That's something
you don't see a lot of for the D cards. H

Stephane Robidas has a career scoring card so this is probably his max for
Strat value. The DEF and INT make him a worthwhile contributor for any
draft league team. The PIS and PRB will come in very handy this season.
Zach Bogosian exhibited major improvement in his first full NHL season.
Getting a OFF or DEF 4 and getting the IS columns into double digits will
take his value to a much higher level but he's very close at this stage of
his career into serving as a very nice keeper card for the D unit.

The veteran Rob Blake comes up with another good Strat card. Those Strat
hockey coaches with Erik Johnson on the roster can look forward to many more
cards of this quality if not better. It's a little thin for Johnson owners
in even strength but he'll score quite a bit on the power play. Still he
came back from a knee injury and put up good numbers over his first full
season.

Drew Doughty continues to look very impressive. A little more improvement
on the offensive end will give him the OFF-4 and that turns him into much
more of an impact player. The primary source of goals will come from the
PIS and PRB columns.

Tyler Myers had an incredible rookie season. Strat gives him a very good
card minus the OFF-2 rating. Myers should go number 3 in almost every
rookie draft. He's very strong on defense, the INT rating, and the RB
shooting columns.

Francois Beauchemin might be a free agent in some Strat draft leagues and
it's the type of card that can help with the PP productivity. The D and INT
ratings means he's useable in almost any size league.
